Mirror’s Edge is one fine looking game and the addition of physX Effects in PC makes it more amazing. So can you computer run Mirror’s Edge? Answer to most of gamers is “YES“. According to TechReport, Folks with newer Nvidia cards will get a treat if they grab Mirror’s Edge for the PC next year. Nvidia has revealed that the PC flavor of DICE’s free-running action game will support PhysX hardware acceleration. All you’ll need is a GeForce 8 or better graphics card, and you’ll be the envy of your console-using friends (you know, the ones who’ve already been playing the game for a week and counting). Here’s how Nvidia describes the PhysX enhancements: “With the NVIDIA PhysX physics engine, the world of Mirror’s Edge comes to life with real affects [sic] of wind, weapons impact, and in-game movements. Every-day objects within the game become part of the overall experience. Cloth, flags, and banners can now impact weapons and players; ground fog interacts with the player’s footsteps; explosions fill the air with smoke and debris; and weapon impacts are enhanced with interactive particles.” Watch the PhysX goodies in action in full post:
The Protector is latest first/third person shooter game announced by newly formed Polish developer Gingerbread Studios. The game will feature visceral action, tactical stealth and a great story-line.
The Protector has two very different characters, Jonathan Kane, a hardened British mercenary, and Jennifer Guile, a beautiful US archaeologist. The game begins when these former lovers reunites following the murder of Jennifer’s father by new terrorist organization Scarlet Vengeance.
Soon Scarlet Vengeance turn towards Jennifer, the only person who knows the location of a powerful Aztec which can be used for a devastating terrorist attack. Now Jennifer’s life is in danger and Kane must track her down and protect her from Scarlet Vengeance. More after break.

There was only a slight difference between the two versions, they both look fine, neither looks impressive. We’ve all see much better graphics in other games. (Although the explosions look great) In the IGN comparison they compare other stuff that’s actually vaguely important, such as game play and loading times.The guy comparing the versions said that the PS3 versions loading times were faster due to having a game install on the hard drive, but the 360’s loading times aren’t too bad anyway.He also said that he spent more time playing the 360 version but found that the PS3 version was easier to play when driving vehicles. The PS3 version also uses six-axis controls for some vehicles and the bowling and darts mini-games (you can turn it on and off).
The 360 version was said to be slightly more vibrant than the PS3 version in terms of color but you can adjust the brightness and contrast settings in-game so you can fiddle with the sliders and make the game look as best suits your preference.
In the end he said both versions look and play great and if you have both consoles you should get the version your friends will be getting so you can play with them online.
So, both games deliver.
