Grand Theft Auto 4 DLC Coming February 17
Six months after the release of Grand Theft Auto 4, details of the much-hyped episodic downloadable content have emerged. And no, it’s definitely not 28 Days Later-style zombie outbreaks or a return trip to San Andreas.
Instead, USA Today is reporting that the narrative, titled “Lost and Damned” and due February 17, will shift to The Lost biker gang member Johnny Klebitz. Klebitz is described as being “very different” from former protagonist Niko Bellic, with Niko himself fading into the background and only making a few cameo appearances
“I can’t go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released,” said Rockstar Games vice president of creative development Dan Houser. “But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City.“
What that new side of Liberty City will constitute, we’re not sure. But we do know that it will explain “tons of details and mysteries from the main story” and that it will “add a lot of color to the main story.” Houser also hinted that Lost and Damned won’t be the last GTA4 DLC pack.
“We feel like we’ve only scratched the surface in terms of depth and detail,” Houser said.
No price tag yet, but Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter expected it to run up to $20, with Rockstar being able to sell between 2 and 3 million downloads. In the meantime, we’ll go on wishing for DLC pack featuring Vice City.
