The CatBox 360: Games for cats

The CatBox 360: Games for cats
Cats want games too. If your cat wants to get into some gaming action, now they can thanks to the CatBox 360. When your cat steps into the automatic litter box, a new game is activated and a random music track begins. Colored indicators scroll down the LCD screen like in Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

When the cat’s paws scratch across the litter, it triggers the notes, and every time your cat “answers nature’s call” in the litter box, the game enters a bonus multiplier mode for extra points. Some tunes include: Cat Scratch Fever, Stray Cat Strut, and of course, Cool for Cats. The makers of the game warn that a handful of cats have started “doing their business” whenever they hear music playing, so be careful when you use your stereo. You may have a clean up waiting for you. No price or release date yet. Don’t hold your breath…Or do hold your breath since your cat won’t be able to stop playing.

Wanted to Curve Bullets on Consoles

Posted by Usman on July 22, 2008

Wanted

What’s next for GRIN once they’re done with Bionic Commando? A videogame adaption of the film Wanted is in the Swedish developer’s future.

The film, itself an adaption of a comic series, tells the story of a group of super assassins and their recruitment of a young slacker. The game will pick up where the movie ends, continuing the adventures of Wesley Gibson, while expanding on the intricate mythology of the film.

Gameplay will be in the third-person, with special moves — like “curving bullets” and “assassin time” — coming straight out of the film. They also a promise an extensive cover mechanic, so it won’t be just about running and gunning.

The Wanted game is set to hit consoles and PC later this year.

Posted by Vicky on July 15, 2008

Xbox 360 motion control rumors have just heated up and Motus, the company allegedly developing the controller for the console has now posted some videos showing how it’ll work with existing games. Apparently it’s being called Darwin and is completely wireless. It seems that it can be split in two depending on the game, or if another player wants to join in, as shown in the Lego Star Wars demo below.

Xbox cuts price to $299

Posted by Vicky on July 13, 2008

Looks like after MGS 4 give a bit hit to PS3 and xBox is lacking in sales, Thats why Microsoft corp is set to cut the price of its best selling Xbox 360 pro model to $299 from $3449.

According to Reuters, Microsoft plans to lower the price of the Xbox 360 model with the 20 gigabyte hard drive this weekend before the video game industry’s biggest trade show, E3, taking place next week in Los Angeles.

A price cut has been widely reported by popular video game blogs and technology Web sites. Many posted snapshots of flyers from various retailers advertising the $299 price.

A company spokeswoman said Microsoft has nothing to announce at this time.

Microsoft last cut the price of the Xbox Pro in August, from $399 to $349, prior to the release of "Halo 3" the following month.

A cut to $299 makes the Xbox 360 Pro $100 less than Sony Corp’s PlayStation 3 with a 40 gigabyte hard drive. Microsoft is locked in a three-way competition with Nintendo’s Wii and the PlayStation 3, which comes with a high-definition Blu-ray video player.

Price cuts from Nintendo and Sony seem unlikely. Nintendo’s $249 Wii is still in short supply at many retailers, while Sony has said it aims to turn its video game business profitable this year, making a cut hard to swallow.
