Real bad news for UK fans, Gran Turismo 5 is delayed till 2009. In an e-mail sent by, videogames retailer, GAME, has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 wouldn’t be released this year.

“The legendary “Real Driving Simulator” Gran Turismo 5 is heading to PlayStation 3 in 2009, utilising the uber-console’s raw horsepower to generate an unrivalled level of realism.”

But the e-mail does promotes the release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on March 28th. This “Prologue” will feature 5 tracks and 40 cars , priced at £19.99. For Japan and North America, Gran Tursimo 5 is still coming in 2008.

What’s more is that you can almost always pick out the ones rocking out to an iPod by their iconic white earbuds. Most people I know that carry an iPod still use the same earbuds that came with the player because they like the way they look and sound. Well if you’re one that likes the look, here’s a giant pair you can sit on your desktop.

Yes, these are extremely cheesy, but I suppose if you’re a huge Apple fanatic you might be proud to have them sitting on your desk. t’s not the first method we’ve seen for blinding security cameras, but this new DIY / art project from the folks at Oberwelt e.V. looks to be one of the simplest, and one of the few that could conceivably be used on an everyday basis. Dubbed the I-R.A.S.C. (for “infra-redlight against surveillance camera”), the device apparently consists simply of a series of infrared lights connected to a battery, which combine to blot out your face with a slightly unnerving glow. Needless to say, while it appears to hide your identity quite effectively, it doesn’t exactly scream subtlety, so you’d best think of some excuses to explain yourself if you actually plan on trying this thing out in public.

Well what do you know, the Nike+ product line continues to evolve. This time, however, Apple’s iPod appears to be out of the picture. Based on that illustration above, the 2.62 x 2.62-inch Nike+ SportBand device wedges its way into a bracelet where it communicates with the standard Nike+ shoe adapter. You then insert the USB device into your PC or Mac (presumably) to track your runs. Be sure to peep the actual device in the picture — looks like the FCC managed to bust the SportBand’s USB connector during their tests. That doesn’t bode well for final product now does it?

The next iteration of the Nike+ line of running-enhancing gear just hit the FCC, and it looks like Nike went ahead and ditched Apple for this go around. This one is the Nike SportBand, a little device that fits into a bracelet. It communicates with the Nike+ doodad in your shoe and stores its data. You then plug the SportBand into your computer via USB to track your runs, cutting the iPod out of the loop entirely. As a sedentary blogger, I could care less about this, but perhaps you “healthy” and “active” people can get some kicks out of it

For as long as he can remember, Brad Williams has been able to recall the most trifling dates and details about his life.

For example, he can tell you it was Aug. 18, 1965, when his family stopped at Red Barn Hamburger during a road trip through Michigan. He was 8 years old at the time. And he had a burger, of course.

“It was a Wednesday,” recalled Williams, now 51. “We stayed at a motel that night in Clare, Michigan. It seemed more like a cabin.”
